Meet the team
I have grown-up all-over Canada. Quite literally. I was born in Vancouver, and have been all the way to Newfoundland and everywhere in between. Now, I have found my forever home here in Toronto. I even found a neighbourhood to settle into. Leslieville. Couldn't have been happier with this choice.
I decided to pursue massage as a career at Sutherland-Chan College of Massage Therapy. There I was able to learn the skills to treat musculoskeletal needs with Swedish massage, deep tissue, hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercises, postural assessments, joint mobilizations, fascial work, and self-care. This has allowed me to help a wide variety of clients on their journey to living their best life.
With massage I can help you with achieve relaxation in your mind and body, reduce stress, reduce pain, rehabilitate an old or new injury, get to the root cause of your issue and more.
As some point during all of this my sister had her first baby and I was so happy. I got to attend the birth and it was the most amazing thing I have ever been able to experience. I was so overwhelmed with love and support for my sister and her new family. With my sisters 3rd, she asked me to be her Doula. I looked into what a Doula does and I realized I have been doing that and wanted to do that for others. I wanted to be there for other people during this major life changing moment in their lives. I was saddened by how many people experienced trauma from their birthing experience. But I was hopeful because evidence shows again and again that having someone there for you helps reduce the trauma experience. I wanted to be there for other parents like I was there for my little sister. I want to help decrease birthing trauma. I want to help make a wonderful time in peoples lives a good experience for everyone involved.

Honestly I love being a massage therapist. Being able to use my hands to help people feel better? How cool is that?! Whenever I play Dungeons and Dragons (yes I am a nerd hahaha) I always play a healer. I find being able to help people live in their bodies with less pain and more efficiently is very soul fulfilling. It's like magic.

It actually wasn't my first choice. Massage therapy was a career change for me.
Story time.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a doctor which caused my mom to laugh. It was valid cause I faint at the sight of blood. Let's just say a nose bleed is my worst nightmare. So I thought health care wasn't in my cards. I was always pretty good at drawing so I went towards a more artistic career. I ended up becoming a Visualisation Specialist. Sounds fancy right? It was ok. Basically I made what any type of infrastructure was going to look like when built, in 3D. Sounding more impressive at all? Hahaha. It was good .I liked the part where I worked on TV shows. I stayed in the industry for just over a decade. But it finally got to the point where I just couldn't do that anymore. The desk job life was wasting me away. So I was lucky enough to be able to quit my career and really do some hard self discovery. After a long time of looking at myself and what made me, me, I decided to pursue massage. Wow. I'm telling ya, choosing a career in my 30's was a way better experience and decision than when I was a teenager. I have been massaging ever since and I honestly have no desire to ever look back. Massage fits me like a glove. A fabulous glove with pretty stitching and some sort of gold embroidery. Oooo lala.
▲ What is your favourite thing about massage therapy? ▲

It's kinda hard cause I like a lot of things about massage therapy. So obviously I am going to write them all cause I caaaaan.
1) I am an extrovert. I love meeting new people and interacting with them. So massage therapy really fits the bill on that one. Different people all day long?! It's awesome. I love getting to know different people. And sure not everyone talks, but still it's nice. There is so many different lives, and the way people are living, and different experiences and different issues. I like to hear about all of it.
2) I understand I can't help everyone but when I do, wow what a rush. Being able to help someone feel better than they did when they first came in is still one of the most fulfilling things I have ever felt. I still don't have anything that compares to what it feels like to know that I helped another human being be able to live in this crazy world a little easier. Seeing the happiness in people, watching them feel better, seeing them get results and change from when they first came in, wow. Just wow. I sound repetitive. I need a better word than wow...
3) Nothing about it feels fake or forced. I found the office politics was horrible. But with massage therapy I get to 100% just be myself. I am self employed and everything I do is my career. It's my whole business. I am what I offer. And I try to be as authentic as I possibly can. I'm not for everyone, but who I am for, I try to be the best I can be.

I love massaging the upper back. Shoulders, spine, and the back of the neck. I could work on that area and do so many things to help it feel better.
It's so much fun for me.

A goal in life is to pet as many dogs as possible. ( I can't have a dog because my husband is allergic ). Luckily I live in Leslieville and near The Beaches where I am beginning to think there might be a by-law to own at least one dog. I have never seen so many happy dogs. Which really works out for me. Yay dogs to pet ! ♥
